A special National Investigation Agency court in Jammu has issued a non-bailable warrant against Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Saifullah. Investigators state he supplied weapons and logistical support to militants in Jammu and Kashmir and named him as an accused in the April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed several tourists.
Saifullah, a resident of Changa Manga in Pakistan’s Kasur district, uses numerous aliases and has a history of cross-border militancy spanning over two decades. The NIA states he previously served as an LeT commander in Kulgam between 2005 and 2007 before fleeing to Pakistan, where he later re-emerged as a coordinator directing terror operations and communicating with militants in the Valley through encrypted channels.
According to the agency, Saifullah directed attacks on civilians, security forces, and government installations while facilitating cross-border weapons and fund movements. Investigators recovered his Telegram identities from a previously arrested Pakistani terrorist. Officials note that warrants against accused individuals outside India’s jurisdiction help establish a formal legal record for extradition requests, international pressure, and future prosecutions.
