Gujarat Police have dismantled an inter-state network accused of sending hoax bomb threat emails. The operation, led by the state’s Cyber Centre of Excellence and announced by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, spanned three states and resulted in the arrest of key suspects from Bihar and Jharkhand.
During the crackdown, investigators recovered a database of more than 5.13 lakh email credentials and uncovered financial and cryptocurrency transaction trails linking the operation to Bangladesh.
The investigation is ongoing as police examine the recovered credentials and financial records to identify any additional individuals involved in the network.
