YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into alleged irregularities in Andhra Pradesh’s Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment exercise. He alleged that merging the preparation of question papers and the conduct of the examination under the SCERT director created scope for manipulation, pointing to an outsourcing employee involved in making the papers who secured the top rank and has since approached the courts.

The former chief minister accused current Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of shielding his son and state education minister Nara Lokesh from scrutiny. The state government has rejected the scam allegations, declined to refer the case to the CBI, and maintains that existing processes are sufficient. Meanwhile, social media posts questioning the recruitment have been restricted or geo-blocked, which opposition figures describe as an attempt to suppress criticism.
