United States Ambassador to India Sergio Gor officially invited ISRO to join NASA’s Moon base programme during the inaugural session of the ninth Bengaluru Space Expo 2026. The Ambassador stated that Washington wants India alongside American astronauts on the lunar surface under the Artemis framework, noting that the bilateral space relationship has progressed to a phase of full co-creation.
Highlighting the success of the joint NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar mission, Gor praised India’s space sector reforms and invited Indian space startups, including Pixxel, Skyroot Aerospace, and AgniKul Cosmos, to expand into the American market. To support this engagement, the US government announced plans to expand its Commercial Service presence in Bengaluru.
