The monsoon session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly began with disruptions as opposition parties protested over various political and administrative issues. Bharatiya Janata Party members stormed the Well of the House to demand an inquiry into lands placed under the prohibited properties list under Section 22A of the Registration Act. Although Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu promised a full debate, continuous sloganeering forced Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to briefly adjourn the proceedings.

At the same time, Bharat Rashtra Samithi legislators wore black T-shirts and staged protests inside and outside the complex, alleging that the Congress-led government failed to fulfill its key poll guarantees within its first thousand days in office. Security personnel intercepted BRS legislators attempting to march into the Assembly premises, resulting in brief scuffles and the detention of several key leaders. Female BRS legislators and former ministers accused the police of high-handedness and ill-treatment during their detention.

Inside the chamber, treasury benches objected to alleged derogatory remarks made by BRS MLC Tata Madhu against the Speaker. Senior Congress ministers demanded strict disciplinary action and potential membership termination for disrespecting the Chair. The Legislative Affairs Minister announced that the Business Advisory Committee and the House will decide on disciplinary measures in subsequent sittings.
