The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) raided 30 locations linked to former minister and senior DMK leader KN Nehru, including properties associated with his brothers. The searches took place in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Erode, and Tiruppur, resulting in the seizure of 241 incriminating documents.

The investigation focuses on alleged financial irregularities and corruption involving tender allotments in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, with a criminal case registered under various legal provisions. While representatives close to Nehru denied wrongdoing and called the proceedings politically motivated, opposition parties have used the findings to demand broader scrutiny of government procurement processes.
