The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has agreed to establish the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) for state government employees and sanctioned the immediate release of two pending Dearness Allowance installments. Employee union leaders expressed gratitude over the PRC setup, and the state finance department will shortly notify further administrative guidelines detailing the commission’s tenure and terms of reference.
In other administrative actions, the Chief Minister directed law enforcement agencies to expedite investigations in SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act cases and ordered a special analytical study into regions reporting elevated numbers of these cases, specifically Guntur, Anantapur, East Godavari, and Prakasam districts. Additionally, the government announced ‘Re-survey 2.0’, a comprehensive land mapping campaign aimed at making the state dispute-free by March 2027, while authorities confirmed that new norms for upcoming urban local body elections are being finalized.
