Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has accused the BJP-led central government of conspiring to delete voters sympathetic to the Congress party during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Speaking in Hyderabad, he alleged that 60 lakh to 70 lakh enumeration forms across Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts were flagged as suspect or uncollectable, disproportionately impacting Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and minority voters. He also claimed the BJP is working with the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi to target Congress voters, particularly in the Kodangal constituency.

BJP leaders have rejected these allegations, describing the revision as a routine, non-partisan exercise to remove outdated or duplicate entries. Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy stated that his government will resist the exercise through legal and political channels, and urged the Election Commission of India to ensure transparency during verification and rejection. The state government has indicated it may approach the courts if it finds evidence of systematic exclusion.
