Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam has renewed his criticism of the former Uddhav Thackeray-led state government regarding its handling of the 2020 death of event manager Disha Salian. Kadam questioned why a CBI investigation was not ordered at the time, alleging that the previous administration erased evidence in a deliberate cover-up and ignored the family’s repeated requests for a central probe.
Kadam directed questions at Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, asking why the case was not handed to the CBI and why the Salian family’s demands were ignored. His remarks follow a recent Bombay High Court order directing that a CBI FIR be registered into Salian’s death.
While Shiv Sena (UBT) figures have previously dismissed the allegations as politically motivated attempts to gain an electoral advantage, BJP leaders continue to treat the case as unfinished business.
