Iraq seeks to ‘be a bridge’ between Iran and US, says Iraqi prime minister’s security advisor

Iraq seeks to act as a bridge for communication between Iran and the United States to help reach an agreement that guarantees the rights of the entire region. The Iraqi prime minister’s security adviser, Qassim al-Araji, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that Iraq maintains a “good relationship” with both countries.

During the interview, al-Araji also noted that Iran emphasized the necessity of removing extremist groups from Iraq.
